A rain-affected contest where India were on the top in all the departments saw the Men in Blue beat England by 68 runs at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. India will now play South Africa in the final in Barbados on Saturday as they look to win their second T20 World Cup.

In a contest that was the repeat of the 2022 T20 World Cup semifinal, India was in no mood to repeat their mistakes as they dismantled England left, right and center. Tasked to defend 172 runs, India bowled out England for 103 in 16.4 overs as Kuldeep Yadav (19/3) and Axar Patel (23/3) saw Rohit Sharma’s men through to the final. Harry Brook (25) and Jos Buttler were the only English batters to show some fight on the day, but India was not holding back as they now look to end their ICC trophy drought.
