I’ve done a good bit of call and response lessons, including the new one from a few weeks ago… but thought I’d take a crack at writing one!
C blues, in 3 neighborhoods. Been feeling the Tele lately (my first electric) so giving my HH guitar a break this month 🙂
Thanks for listening!

Hi Alan, wow, this was excellent! Your call phrase really kept the groove going the whole time with tempo and feel. The licks fit perfectly, melodically, and the whole thing was tight. I was boppin’ along with you.

Kudos for creating an original Call and Response Alan. Well composed and well performed. Love the syncopated bass line especially, the whole solo had a real groove happening! Thanks for sharing. All the best! 😎🎸😎

Great original piece Alan. You composed a very imaginative call that worked really well wherever you played it and the responses complimented it perfectly.

A very enjoyable and original composition, Alan! Loved those bass syncopated lines, the bluesy/jazzy melodic leads on top, everything so well crafted and played. Great submission!

Very well done Alan. Extra marks for composing your own c & r. It sounded wonderful.

Great call and response, Alan, and such a snappy, original composition. Played to perfection. You really nailed all those response riffs and hit them so smoothly. Favorite lick at 1:02, the old standard which contrasted so well with all the others and brought added spice. Excellent!

Nice work, Alan. You came up with a great story line in this piece. Like Brian talks about having a conversation with your calls and responses. Real enjoyable to listen to.

Cool beans! This had a rock and roll feel that was very lively. I like the way you played in several different parts of the fretboard without losing the overall cohesiveness (if that’s the right term) of the piece. Nice going.

Top marks for coming up with that.
I know only too well the difficulty that brings.
Sounds as good as any lesson and you’ve hit every note perfectly.

I think it is a very satisfying result to produce a song on your own that has its own originality and coherence.

Great old style C&R on your cool Tele Alan. This submission captured the true essence of this challenge. Rhythmic elements and responses were timely and fit in the progression to a T.

C is my new favourite Key so I was entranced by your composition. Excellent use of the different positions and that funky bass call was a great platform to play your responses too. Great sub 👍
