2015 2.4L engines were part of Hyundai's engine recall. Don't consider it unless you can determine if the engine has been replaced as part of the recall. That rod knock is trying to tell you it hasn't been replaced.
@justintardif95276 дней назад +2
All they will do is look at the oil and say nope the car wasnt maintaned properly
@1984Cutlass2nv6 дней назад +2
Yeah I would avoid it. My wife's 2013 just had the engine replaced by Hyundai for free after they pulled the valve cover and checked for sludge (I did the oil changes the past couple years so no receipts with the vin number on them). They were satisfied with the maintenance and replaced it for free. Ours had no warning (unless it was the day of and my wife didn't notice) it seized up at 55mph and would not turn over by any means after that. At least on the 2013 the red dipstick comes with the new long block. Not sure if 2015 is the same.
@TheOcculus6 дней назад
That's most most car companies.
You usually have to take them to court to get them to actually warranty things like engines and Transmissions.
If you actually have a lemon claim take it right to a lawyer@quadfatheriii79766 дней назад +1
@@justintardif9527 if there are records of oil changes it goes a long way, otherwise the make us take off the valve cover to see the valve train, if there’s sludge it is not covered if there isn’t then they make the tech jump through more hoops lol
@RobertE-t1j6 дней назад
I had a feeling with that oil being so sludgy that it probably hasn't been changed in a very long time and without proof and seeing how that looks they will deny warranty work and trust me they make sure and will do anything they can to get out of it

Randy, that Camry is one of their color upgrade options. If I remember correctly, it’s called Emerald Green Metallic, which is a premium color option.
As for the Hyundai, it’s part of the engine recall timeframe. Check to see if it’s already done if you ever seen one like this again. But be prepared to have to put another engine into it if you did get it.@georgescarvids6 дней назад +1
I just picked one up for my Step Son who gets his license the end of August. I get a Dealer Demo so, I tried him in the 16 Traverse that was my daily (waaaay too big for him) so, I was plunged into getting him a proper car. I spent about 1,700 all in and bought him an 07 Camry LE with 235K and filmed it for my channel. Putting a kid in a car is a process and finding the "best fit" for a kid is very important and no different than buying him a pair of sneakers. I get a lot of customers looking for a car for a 1st driver so, I filmed my process of the why and how. It's awesome that you're taking the time to find him the right car, he will appreciate you for it later!!

That Toyota green? It is factory...6V4 "Spruce Mica." It's also on Lexus', I used it on a '95 Ram when I tu-toned it. Front bumper "Chin strap" plastic (chrome left in place), all down the sides below the belt line, the rear bumper, and the steel wheels with chromed hub center & stainless trim rings. The top color? Original silver/grey with the champagne tint in the clear. The dash was even in 1 piece! Standard cab, short bed, 4wd, 318 cat-back Magnaflow exhaust, RWL tires...it was clean, every option worked, and I got almost $9k for it.

Those shark fin antennas are generally multiband.
The data collection equipment my former company put on public transit vehicles uses tri-band antennas with GPS, cellular, and Wi-Fi under one weathertight dome.
Automobiles will have GPS, cellular, and AM FM under the dome.
Eventually the weather will screw up the GPS cuz it's a powered active antenna but AM FM, cellular, and even Wi-Fi are very forgiving. You'll lose range on the AM FM, Wi-Fi, and somewhat on cellular but it won't stomp the signal completely as long as you haven't dead shorted the antenna to ground.
I've had data collection gear that was disconnected from the antenna or had a cracked Dome with condensate inside. It had no GPS and no Wi-Fi but the cellular network connected just fine.@GermanCarGuyMN7 дней назад +8

Randy, looking at the bolt, I’m curious, does Oklahoma have a Clean Vehicle REBATE program? The state of Oregon does have a program where it doesn’t come off of your taxes so they actually send you a check if you buy a used plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle they also have a program where you can get an additional rebate if you buy a new vehicle that is electric or plug-in hybrid. That would be a great program for you if you were selling an electric vehicle to your customers..

That red car is a Hyundai ionic! Expensive battery hybrid car with battery pack under the whole bottom of the car! You press brake and hit the start for it t power up. No engine sound tho..I think someone run over something on highway or hit a pot hole and they total it out cuz they think the battery pack under it is destroyed. And battery packs cost more then then the car itself.

@carbuff816 дней назад
On that Elantra hybrid, I believe it wouldn't turn on because the hood was open, I had a Chevy Volt extended range car and the same thing happened, whenever I would pop the hood of the car the engine would turn off, something to do with high voltage in the engine compartment and not safe to be in the engine compartment with the car on, so it is a safety feature, I am pretty sure if you would have just closed up the hood on it, then it would have turned on and moved. And the reason for all the newer Hyundai's and Kia's with the missing antennas is because they are getting stolen, viral videos showing how easy it is to steal newer Hyundai's and Kia's. Insurance companies won't even give you insurance on them, I would stay away from them, either you will pay an arm and a leg for insurance or won't be able to get insurance at all. A Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla would be the perfect small starter car for your son, they are good on gas and reliable and cheap to repair and maintain.
